Photography.

Recently, I have started to really enjoy photography. Due to the fact that I received a beautiful new camera for my birthday. However, I want to create a book/collage type thing with all my photgraphs in. The thing is I want this to look really artistic, and this is what I am not. So, I need help with different sites and examples of other peoples; sketch books, class books, whatever which are really individual so I can gain some inspiration, as I am stuck.

The Killers

So, last thursday I had the privilege of going to see my favourite ever band, The Killers! To be honest with you, it was absolutely amazing, and I have to say it was the best experience of my life. I arrived at 7.30 and managed to work my way near to the front which made the night even better. So at 7.45 Tegan and Sara (the supporting band) came on the stage who are from Canada, they were so sweet and twins which was unique. They are also bringing out a new album called Heartthrob, which is to be released in January 2013.

Then at 8.45 they came on the stage, The Killers entered the stage, Brandon Flowers entered my eyes. They opened with 'Mr Brightside' which got the crowd going, and it just got better as the night wen't on. The penultimate was 'All These Things That I Have Done' which is my all time favourite song by them. I also lost my voice that night, and still haven't fully gained it back (sad me) so hopefully it will come back soon. If any of you were there please tell what you thought of the performance.I also need to tell you that because my laptop is having an 'episode', I have to do my posts on my phone, so sorry for the layout as I am unable to change it.

Lostprophets Gig/Concert.

On Saturday 3rd November, I had the pleasure of going with my boyfriend to see the Lostprophets in Sheffield, live at the O2 Academy.(Sorry on the rubbish photography) Getting there for around 6 o'clock we waited in the crowd for the supporting bands. These consisted of; Pure Love, who came into the crowd and did some guitar solos on the audiences shoulders and We Are The Ocean, who I have also seen before supporting The Blackout this time last year. At around 8.30 the main attraction arrived, Lostprophets entered the stage with their all black outfits. I have to personally say I am not a huge fan of Lostprophets, but I have never really given them a chance to be honest. They played a few of their old songs and a lot of the new stuff from their most recent album Weapons. (Which I was later informed of by my boyfriend after the concert) I had a really good time and Ian Watkins the front man, I am made to believe, was good at getting the crowd going. Although insulting members of the crowd, it's all part of the fun...don't you think? If you were there please tell me what you thought.

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

So a couple of weeks ago now, I had the absolute pleasure of going to watch 'The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' which was touring at my local theatre not too long ago. And I have to admit to you that it was amazing! I can't describe how good it was. The play consisted of three actors who, played several different characters; which I believe they did amazingly well. And if I had another chance to go see it I would, without a doubt run there. But, I have to sadly say it has moved away from Hull and is now visiting other destinations around the country. So, if you have chance to go see it I advise that you do and fast, because the tickets will be selling out. Oh no!

This is James Weaver, the main guy of the show. He played the parts of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, this he did with sheer simplicity it was almost as though they were created for him to play. I have just realised that some of you may not know what this wonderful play is about. So here is what Hull Truck Theatre have to say about the play; originally written by Robert Louis Stevenson as a book and adapted by Nick Lane. Click here. I went to see the play for my friends birthday and one of them had a lets say 'thing' for Mr Hyde. This may be because of his passionate and leading role within the play. Although, I did find funny because he was nearly old enough to be her Dad. Overall, my advice would be read the book, see the play and just enjoy it as much as I did.

Halloween and Bonfire Night

Halloween

Sorry for it being so late. But anyways, for Halloween my Nanna decorated the house like every year. It's the norm thing at hers, with pumpkins and gouls and ghosts, she loves it! And this year was no exception, she started the week before - 25th October - getting ready for this festive occasion. This year I invited my girlies round and said get dressed up. Although, I have to admit that I only got mine together about 30 minutes before they arrived, and I don't really know what I am to be honest. Any suggestions? (I'm the one on the left, Mia on the right)

However, before this me and Derek (also known as Dezzawan my boyfriend) carved some halloweeny pumpkins. Actually, when I say we I mean; I scooped out all the mushy insides which was fun and he did and he did all the arty carving. I am not talented in that area of experties. Here are our pumpkins which we put in the front windows to 'lure kids in trick or treating' as my Nanna would say or, if you are normal to make the house look more halloweeny.

Bonfire Night

Last night is also another event where my Nanna goes all out again, but this time instead of decorations it's with the food! My favourite thing, yey. So, last night the family came round and we feasted until our bellies hurt. And with our hats and gloves stood outside in the freezing November weather to watch the fireworks, and play with sparklers. (No one is too old for sparklers)

I just love bonfire night, just looking up at the fireworks and watching them explode in the sky filling it with colour. I just wish my dog wasn't afraid of the loud noises from the fireworks, but I guess he will be fine. Hope you all had a great bonfire night too, fill me in on your events.

Multi-coloured cheesecake.

This is my beautiful multi-coloured cheesecake which, as I promised yesterday I would give you a better picture.

This is another picture just to give you an overall view of my cheesecake. Although my critics stated 'it looked weird' once they had a mouthful they then said 'but it tastes lovely...can I have more'. By the way, it's lemon flavoured if you were wondering.

My cheesecake, there is also pink and blue underneath. I will show you when cut later. It looks yummy!

As I promised yesterday, I am going to report my thoughts and feelings of the new film 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' starring Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Ezra Miller. I am sorry it is a little late, apologies. Well as you all know the novel was created by Stephen Chbosky and was a best-seller, although I have not had the pleasure of reading it yet. Hopeful I will soon. Well I had heard good things about the book, and was very excited to see the film. All I can say is that the film was an overwhelming experience and I loved every moment of it. As many people know, I am an amateur when it comes to movies and I am sorry if you do not share my opinion on the film. Although, at first I did not warm to Sam (Emma Watson) she soon fulfilled her part within the film. But, I believe Logan Lerman played the part of Charlie perfectly showing how that although he has a troubling life, he can make friends and have happy memories. Charlie, is the narrator throughout the film and this is done by him writing letters to his anonymous friend. I won't spoil the ending for you but, I strongly recommend that you go watch this film at your local cinema, as if you don't I assure you that you will regret it. This is the first review I have ever written, so sorry for lack of experience.

Just going to see perks of being a wallflower, supposed to be good. However, I would like to read the book first. I shall tell you my verdict in 2 hours and 20 minutes, fingers crossed.

This is my amazing attempt at trying to do my nails 'peacock style' although, with my stylish nail art skills they turned out to look like trees with eyes looking at you. But, I will keep trying to adapt my skills, not that I need to or anything.

These roller skates are what I am aiming to own in the very near upcoming future (I hope). Size 6/7 if anyone is wondering, now I just need to learn how to roller skate. Challenge accepted.

Do you have a Bucket List?

So I was wondering, am I just a freak or do other people actually have Bucket Lists too? So I want to ask you all, if you have a bucket list (or even if you don't) tell me what the most important thing is that you want to do before you die? I know it sounds a bit morbid an'all but, just have a go. For me, please.

The world is ending soon, so I thought I would gain a tan today and get ready for my ever pending doom.

As I've said I have a bucket list and I have completed number *253. Eat a pop tart.* I know not much of an achievement but, I've completed something!

Made my day when I found my hotdog socks all ready to wear, my tootsies have been toasty all day!

So, yeah as I mentioned before I have a bucket list. For those of you who don't know what one of those is, it's a list of things you want to do before you die or 'kick the bucket'. People say aren't you a bit young to do one of those but I thought, I'm more likely to do it if I write it down so, why not!? Try it for yourself, it's not that hard all you need is a pen and paper. Who knows you might surprise yourself with your capability.

Bet your wondering 'Why did she called her blog Peacock Book'. Well, I have a book which if you believe it or not has peacocks on (I know, shocking) which contains my Bucket List (more on that later) so, that is why if you were wondering. Here is a photo to show you...
